Pads and rotors wear with every stop, faster in stop-start city driving. Replacing them on time is cheaper and safer than waiting until you hear metal.
Pads, rotors, or both?
Pads wear faster and are the more common replacement. Rotors wear too, and running pads down to the metal backing scores or damages them. When we check your brakes we measure the rotors: if they're within spec they may be fine or able to be machined; if they're too thin, scored or warped, they're replaced. We show you the measurements so you're only paying for what the car needs.
Signs it's time
- Squealing or screeching when braking (often the wear indicator)
- Grinding, which usually means pads are gone and it's now metal on metal
- A pulsing or vibration through the pedal (often warped rotors)
- Longer stopping distances
If you're hearing or feeling any of these, book a check before it gets worse.
We come to you
Brake pad and rotor jobs are one of the most common mobile repairs. We carry common pads and parts, so many replacements are done the same day, at your home or work. All we need is a flat, stable spot with room to work.
Quality parts
We fit quality pads and rotors suited to your vehicle, not the cheapest option on the shelf. Brakes aren't the place to save a few dollars, and better parts last longer and stop better.
