Car aircon loses a little gas over time, and in our climate you notice fast. If yours isn't as cold as it used to be, a re-gas and check is usually all it takes.
Signs your aircon needs attention
- Air that isn't as cold as it used to be
- Takes a long time to cool the cabin
- A musty smell when you turn it on
- Warm air only
In Brisbane's heat these are worth sorting quickly, aircon isn't a luxury here.
Re-gas or repair?
A re-gas tops the system back up and, for a slow natural loss, that's the whole job. But if the aircon goes warm again soon after, the gas is leaking out somewhere and needs a proper leak check and repair. We'll tell you which situation you're in rather than just re-gassing a leaking system over and over.
What we do
- Check the current system pressure and performance
- Re-gas to the correct level for your car
- Check for obvious leaks and faults
- Let you know if a deeper repair is needed
